Urban issues

The theme brings together research on local planning, urban design, citizen participation, place branding, history of urban transformation and broad perspective on urban renewal and conservation.

This theme is from 2014, reinforced by the research cluster Curating the City, which comprises a plurality of sub-themes – reproduction/preservation, techniques/methods, complexity /ecologies/temporalities – and includs an international research network. Curating the City is part of the overarching university activity on Critical Heritage Studies. (2010-15).
