Master Thesis in Conservation (30 or 60 hec)

Completion of a Master’s thesis is compulsory in the Master's Programmes in Conservation.

Admission to the course requires that the student is enrolled in the Master's Programmes in Conservation and has successfully completed courses in accordance with the applicable programme syllabus.

The purpose of the Master’s thesis is for the student to carry out an independant research projects within her/his main field of study. Such work requires both a broad knowledge base within the general field of conservation and highly specialised knowledge within certain specialities.

The work process is characterised by problematisation, methodological stringency and independent reasoning. The scope of the project must be adjusted to the given timeframe.
