Conservation and Sustainable Development - Introduction to the Master's Programme in Conservation (7.5 hec)

The course reviews and problematises the concept of sustainable development, as well as its meanings in a number of different areas in relation to conservation of cultural heritage.

The course also focuses on the use, application and consequences of sustainable development for the conservation of cultural heritage.

The course is based on lectures and discussions with Department and guest lecturers, literature seminars and an individual project.

Each student’s individual project is selected in consultation with the course coordinators and extends throughout the course.

The course gives an introduction to the Master's programme in Conservation through the development of an individual study plan (ISP) for the second-cycle level (ISP Master’s).
