Exchange studies

Department of Conservation offers several courses in English for exchange students. All these courses are on master level and can be found here.

To become an exchange student at our department you first need to be nominated by your home university. After the nomination we contact you with instruction on how to apply to University of Gothenburg. We are using online application system for incoming Erasmus students where you also can apply for housing and other services.

The application deadline is: 15 May for the autumn semester and 15 November for the spring semester. The application form is available during following periods: 1 April – 15 May 15 and 1 October – 15 November.

In order to be nominated your home university needs to have an Exchange agreement with the Department of Conservation. At the moment we have agreements with:

  • University College London, Institute of Archaeology, UK
  • The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Conservation, Denmark
  • Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland
  • Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonia
  • Mardin Artuklu University, Turkey
  • Dicle University, Turkey
  • University of Tartu, Estonia
  • University of Iceland, Reykjavik
