Study Conservation at the University of Gothenburg

The department of Conservation offers two postgraduate degrees and a range of undergraduate degrees.

Master's Programmes at the Department of Conservation

Our postgraduate degrees is offered as  international master´s programmes and leads to a Master's Degree in Conservation (120 credits) or a Master's degree of Science in Conservation with Specialisation in Cultural Heritage Objects (120 credits).

All courses on advanced, postgraduate level are taught in English. Non-EU citizens applies through www.universityadmissions.se.

Bachelor's Programmes at the Department of Conservation

The undergraduate courses are designed to prepare students for the working life and professional practice through practical application, theory and close cooperation with relevant organizations.

All bachelor degrees are taught in Swedish and leads to a Bachelor Degree in Conservation with Specialization in one of the following:

In Gothenburg:

• Bachelor’s Programme in Integrated Conservation of Built Heritage

• Bachelor’s Programme in Conservation of Cultural Heritage Objects

• Bachelor’s Programme in Leadership and Handicraft

In Mariestad:

• Bachelor’s Programme in Garden and Landscape Crafts

• Bachelor’s Programme in Building Crafts
