Subject Areas in the Department of Conservation

Our research is organized into three subject areas:
Built Environment, Conservation of Cultural Heritage Objects, and Craftsmanship. Each group has a research leader who promotes its development through subject-specific conferences, seminars, and courses for doctoral students.

Each of the teachers, researchers, and doctoral candidates in the department focuses their work within one of our research areas. We come together frequently for shared conferences and seminars in order to develop the department’s profile and ensure a creative exchange among the different subject areas.
