Who Does What within the Master's Programme?

The head of department & deputy head of department have the overall responsibility for the education offered at the Department.
The director of studies organises work related to development, coordination and continuous cooperation between the Department’s different study programmes.

The director of studies supports the teaching staff to ensure that all first-cycle education is provided in accordance with applicable laws, ordinances and rules as well as the Department’s operational plan and budget.

The Master’s Coordinator is in charge of planning and organising the programme in accordance with the operational plan for the study programmes at the department. The programme coordinator also organises the work in relation to the long-term development of the programme. Contact the programme coordinator if you have questions about the structure and content of the programme, or if you would like to discuss how you should plan your studies and which courses will count towards your degree.

The study counsellor coordinates the admission work and contacts with Student Affairs, and gives study guidance to applicants and students. The administrative tasks of the study counsellor also include approval and registration of leaves from studies, provision of support to students with special needs, issuance of various certificates to students, alumni affairs, updating of the Master’s programme website etc.

The study administrators are in charge of – for example – registering students for programmes and courses, reporting student performance in Ladok, writing various certificates to students and administering GUL.
