Welcome to the Master's Programme in Conservation!

These webpages contain valuable information for both our current Master’s students and anybody who would like to know more about the programme.

The Master's Programme in Conservation enables you to study the maintenance, assessment and development of material cultural heritage in-depth.

If you have previous academic training in conservation, whether it is in built environment conservation, conservation of cultural heritage objects, building conservation or landscape conservation, the programme will strengthen your ability to perform advanced tasks and make complex assessments based on relevant scientific, ethical and societal aspects.

If you have another relevant scientific and professional background, and an interest in the material and immaterial aspects of cultural heritage, the programme will deepen your knowledge in the theory and practice of cultural heritage conservation.

After an introductory semester of general courses, you will be able to design your own Master’s degree by combining elective courses and individual specialisation/complementary courses. The programme concludes with a degree project corresponding to 30 or 60 higher education credits.
